San Diego Imperial Section President's Message Welcome San Diego/Imperial Section 2022-23 School Nurses! It is an honor to serve as the Section President in 2022-2024. I work as the District Nurse in Ramona Unified, in East County San Diego. I am so excited to be a part of this group of professional nurses. Many thanks to Corinne McCarthy for all her hard work and support these past two years, and enjoy your new role as Past President. Welcome to Chic Carter as our incoming President Elect. We have an exciting year planned to provide support, resources, and opportunities for school nurses in our area. Many of us work in small districts and find this organization to be helpful in navigating the role of a school nurse. Many of us have endured two years of COVID and find ourselves exhausted. This year is all about relaxation and rejuvenation. Through self-care we will thrive, not just survive. We live in the most beautiful part of California (my own bias). I invite you to join us and get involved. We have mini-conferences planned, as well as the return of our Beach Shindig. Be sure to check out our events calendar for state and section conferences.
