![]() High Road School Nurse Residency ProjectAs part of the California Workforce Development Board's High Road Training Project and in collaboration with the Teacher for Healthy Kids, California Teacher's Association, CSU's School Nurse Credentialing Programs, CSU Nursing programs and School Districts, CSNO applied for and was awarded a High Road School Nurse Residency Partnership Implementation Grant. This 2 year grant will assist 150 school nurses from economically challenged communities (50% Free and Reduced Lunch or greater) and financially assist them in obtaining their school nurse credential. The grant starts July 1, 2025 and ends June 30, 2027. As a school nurse you will need to work with your district to have an MOU on file signed by your superintendent and labor group (if applicable) with CSNO (see below for MOU) to apply for this funding. If you are a school nurse not working directly for a district, you are ineligible for this funding. If your district pays for the school nurse credentialing program you are ineligible to receive funding. If you are currently enrolled in a school nurse credentialing program, we apologize but you are not eligible for this funding. This is on a first come first served basis.Application ProcessIf you are interested in applying for this High Road School Nurse Residency Implementation Grant, please complete this application form below. Admission to and completion of a school nurse credentialing program as well as a two year commitment to the mentoring school district is required. You will also be required to attend High Road Training meetings and participate in the High Road evaluation. Candidates will be required to sign and adhere to a contract agreements. This is a first come first serve basis. As a school nurse you will need to work with your district to have an MOU on file signed by your superintendent and labor group (if applicable) with CSNO (see below for MOU) to apply for this funding. You will be required to upload this signed MOU as part of the application. If you are a school nurse not directly employed by a district you are ineligible for this funding.
