According to the Cleveland Clinic, psychogenic nonepileptic seizure (PNES) involves attacks that resemble epilepsy-related seizures that are due to underlying psychological distress, not abnormal electrical activity in the brain. The number of students with PNES is increasing.Andrea Tanner, PhD, RN, NCSN, Assistant Professor, Indiana University School of Nursing, and her colleagues conducted research examining students with PNES. Learn about the latest PNES research, student with PNES experiences and effective school nursing interventions that will support students with this condition.
